Not Too Late to Dream – Purpose Is Never Late If You Seek It

too late

Age is just a number. It’s not another member of your body to determine what you can or can’t do. It’s your mindset and the way you choose to  see life that affects what you can or can’t do at any appointed time. I remember in scripture when the bible said ” And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.” — Gen 11:6

Notice how the scripture didn’t state whether they were children or adults, whether they were of age or underage? The only thing it mentioned is the conception of the idea. That if any man decides with every part of him to pursue anything at all, nothing is impossible to him so long as no disunity comes amongst his members in the pursuit. All you need do is to feed your dream to your mind and just wait for your body to adjust and accomplish the dream. Research has shown that the body adjusts itself to the signals produced by the brain. So, it’s never too late for you to dream or better still live that dream. Each individual has been called by God to fulfil a specific role in the world, and in as much as purpose may be time-bound, the only time it becomes too late is when you are dead. That way, you have no second chance to make an impression in lives.

I am very concerned about people who under the illusion that they are too old refuse to do anything else for themselves, no matter how much they’d love to do that thing. The only thing that would stop you from dreaming or achieving your dream is your own mind. If you believe you can do it, of course, you can! Nothing at all is impossible to you. I really want to encourage someone out there, who thinks that everyone has given up on them and that they are too old to achieve any of their dreams, please don’t despair, once you have life, you have all it takes to dream and make that dream a reality. Paul had a dream to selflessly defend what he believed in. Despite the fact that he wasted time doing the right thing the wrong way, when it was time for him, God graced him to handle the dream he had. You may be in a position right now where you think that it’s all over, but truth is, it’s never ever over until you say it’s over.

Remember that as long as you are breathing, it’s never too late to start a new beginning.

The power to grow, succeed or fail is all inherent in you. It’s stored up in your mind. How and whatever you think can happen to you will surely do. Life doesn’t begin or end at any number, it ends or begins when you want it to. I will urge you to set the laziness and blame game aside and commit to dreaming and making it happen. Just please don’t give up, keep forging ahead, keep trying over and over again. I doubt you’ll try more times than Thomas Edison did because there are so many tools and opportunities to help foster your dream and take it to lengths and heights you never thought possible in this 21st century. It’s not about how old you are, it’s about how bold you are. How committed and dedicated you are to seeing the plans of God unfold in your life. I wouldn’t want you to live a boring and stressful life, moving from one pastor to the other, looking for one job from office to office, begging for money or worst of all stealing. Your dream can never be to steal from others to enjoy unless of course, you are satan, he is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy. Do something to make yourself proud, even if it means breaking the barriers and limits set. Show that a person with a dream can achieve any and every length of success.

Your dream doesn’t have an expiration date, take a deep breath and try again.

See, it doesn’t matter whether you had that education at an early “age” or not. Once you have life try again, or die trying. It’s better to live a life that you appreciate than one in which you just depreciate yet continue existing. The most popular of success stories include that of Colonel Sanders, which you may or may not have heard, but depending on which part of the world you are, have tasted of his manifest dream — KFC. And even more recently, the current president of the United States and Ghana, and probably several other countries. The list could go on and on. But the baseline is this: success isn’t defined by owning a fleet of cars, having a doctorate degree, owning beach houses around the world at an early age etc. Success is defined by how much of your potential you are able to exploit as against the total potential stored in you. Be determined to never let your dreams slip away: it is what defines you. It is your heartbeat and until you bring it to reality, you would never be living, you might as well be on borrowed oxygen or living a borrowed and second-hand life. Instead of pitying yourself or envying when you compare yourself to friends, family and colleagues, push yourself to dream and live the dream. We are a world who desperately need your dream to make even a single life better, we plead that you please don’t deny us this privilege. Leverage the internet and all the other resources available to bring the dream to life.
